Georgia Tech hosted more than 130 students, researchers, and energy professionals for the fourth Macro-Energy Systems Workshop, chaired by Micah Ziegler, to strengthen collaboration across the macro-energy systems community.
In February, the Georgia Institute of Technology, together with the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, the Georgia Mining Association, and the British Consulate‑General Atlanta, hosted the fourth GEMs workshop.
Across disciplines and scales, a unifying theme emerged: resilience is not a single solution. It is a systems-level challenge requiring integration across science and technology, policy, communities, and human experience.
